Christmas Card Classes

Hello.  Long time no posting.  It’s been a crazy few weeks of school holidays and back to school and all the things that go along with co-ordinating that!!  I’ve also been up to my eyeballs in creating paper flower bouquets for my Niece who is getting married next weekend!! When I can, I will post pictures.

Now, I have been creating!! Yay!  These are the cards that are being created in my Christmas Classes in the next week or so.  If you’re interested in finding out more, please email me.

First card uses the O Holy Night stamp with some burlap ribbon and pieces of Designer Series paper from the Season of Style range.

The next card is my favourite!!!  If you follow me on Facebook you may have seen the base when I did it over the weekend.  I used the Encore Silver Ink stamped onto the Smoky Slate Cardstock. Result? Divine!!  These stamps are from the Special Season set & Christmas Messages.  The blue is Island Indigo.  I do love this combination of colours.

The final card uses the Wonderful Wreath Stamps and Merry Little Christmas stamps.  Merry Little Christmas has a coordinating Simply Created Card Kit.

Hope you enjoyed these cards and that the girls doing class over the next two weeks enjoy them too.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!!!

Stampin’ By the Sea…part 1

2013-07-26 16.58.40 (Copy)

How’s that for a view for a relaxing Stamping weekend with some gorgeous old friends and some new ones I hadn’t met yet!! It was soooooo relaxing to head to Victor Harbour for three nights of much needed “me” time!  There were seven ladies all together for the weekend and stamping got started on Friday night!

Here’s the first card I made for the weekend.  Can I say, it was probably one of my favourites.  I love yellow chevron!! (Did you guess??)

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink: Real Red, Crushed Curry
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Four You, Chevron Background
I’m getting the blogging on peeps so stay tuned for the next few weeks while I share the rest of the Stamping By the Sea cards and some other things I’ve been working on. I’m happy to say I’ve been feeling very creative and you will all get the benefits of that!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Hello Lovelies!

Hello again!!  I don’t know what is actually going on with the whole continuous blogging thing but lets just roll with it and see where it goes!!  Last weekend I went to the lovely picturesque town of Victor Harbour where I spent several days stamping by the sea.  Those pictures will be uploaded over the next few days as I still need to clear a space off my table and get out the camera.  So the blogging will continue for a while!!

But! In the meantime here’s a card that I made with one of my downline a couple of weeks ago.  We set each other the challenge of our least favourite colours.  Blech.  Wisteria Wonder is mine!!  The trusty New Colour Coach told me it went with Soft Sky and Sahara Sand.  So this is what I made:

I used the Hello Lovely stamps along with the Beautifully Baroque stamp. I’ve also used the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder.  Considering I detest Wisteria Wondering I was quite happy with this!

See you tomorrow…or the next day….best not get ahead of myself!! lol

Happy Stamping!

MDS Monday….On a Tuesday…

I know it’s Tuesday and technically if I were participating in MDS Monday I *should* have had my sample up yesterday….but that’s not how I rolled this week!!

Don’t know what MDS Monday is??  It’s where every other week Nicole Derendorf posts a challenge up on her blog and those of you with My Digital Studio™, Stampin’ Up!’s digital design program, can play along.  Hey, even if you don’t have MDS you can use the sketches or colour challenges to play with paper.

Anyway, this weeks challenge is a Technique!! A good basic technique to learn how to Crop Stamps.  Head on over to Nicole’s Blog to watch the video and post your challenge entry if you fancy.  Here is mine:

This is a scrap page of Katelin’s 11th Birthday.  Can I also say, that cake was Ahhhmazing!! Yes, thank you, I did make it. Nom nom. Scrapping this page made me hungry for cake!! It was a very quick and easy layout to put together.  The cropping is on the “You’re how Old?” stamp.

If you have any questions, please feel free to get in touch.  If you are in Brisbane, you can attend the MDS Make a Statement Digital Tour on the 17th of August to learn more about the awesome program!!! Email me!!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!!

Oh my Giddy Aunt!! I’m here again!!!

Don’t faint or fall down.  THREE DAYS IN A ROW!!! It’s scary huh???  Don’t worry, I won’t be making it four days as i’m heading down south for a lovely few days with my stamping friend Nicole Derendorf. Yay!!

But before I go!!! Here are some more lovelies to feast your eyeballs upon!!!

_MG_8311 (Copy)This one was made using my cutter and I just took out the square from the middle…you could just use a square framelit in the position you wanted and get the same effect.  The little chevrons are from the HEXAGON PUNCH!!! Oh yes. That’s right!! The Hexagon punch. I love that thing!!!

_MG_8297 (Copy)This card came about from another demonstrator who had posted a Black, White and Yellow card.  I really need to get an alignment tool for my bling though huh???  Didn’t look so bad…until I took a picture!! LOL

And so there you have it!!  A couple of cards to tide you over!! I’m hoping to get VERY creative in the next few days so here’s to some more blogging next week!!!

Until then,
Happy sunshiney stamping!!!

July! Already?!

How can it be July already???!! The year is flying by and my resolution to post regularly has flown away with it.  Whoops.  Lucky, I’m sure, that no-one is coming in here on a regular basis, hanging around by themselves!! LOL.  You can find me more regularly on Facebook ———> See over to the right there, click on over and catch up with me there a bit more.  It does seem to be a bit easier to post stuff there!!

I *have* been creating!!!  I had the New Stampin’ Up! Catalogue launch last week and the ladies got to make some cards and have a play with lovely new products!!  Want to see some of what we did?? All right!! lol

_MG_8306 (Copy)

This card was made with the lovely new In Colours – Pistachio Pudding, Strawberry Slush, Crisp Cantaloupe, Coastal Cabana and Baked Brown Sugar. Nom.  Makes me hungry!!! I also used the Chalk Talk Stamp set and framelits and the new Clay and molds to create the flower. The embossing folder is the new Modern Mosaic. Lovely isn’t it?

_MG_8310 (Copy)

The next card uses the gorgeous Sketched Birthday set.  Again I’ve used the Framelits from the Chalk talk bundle (tag behind the cake image) and I’ve used the Banner framelits as well.  The designer series paper is new and is called Birthday Basics.  I love it. It’s got some awesome patterns and colours!!!

The next card the lovely ladies made uses a few different new sets.  Firstly the sentiment is from the Label Love set.  It has a great co-ordinating Punch called the Artisan label punch.  You can purchase the stamps and punch as a great bundle as well and save yourself 15%!!  The other stamps used are the Mosaic Madness and Gorgeous Grunge stamps.  The ribbon is the new and delicious 3/4″ Chevron in Crushed Curry.

So there you have it.  Even though you may not “see” me posting in here, I have been stamping!!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

For Megan…

Just a little quick post this morning.  I’ll work on getting some other posts  up this week!!  I have done a little stamping this week.  Not too much as it seems to be impossible for me to create without making a mess!  Hard to imagine I know!!

My beautiful and very dear friend (and downline) Megan celebrated her birthday last week.  I was SO organised and had made her a little card and had a present ready because I was going to see her on the weekend.  And then, I left it at home!  So typically me!  So Meges, here is the card lovely and you’ll have to wait for the gift!!

megans card

megans card1

I made her an easel card/desktop calendar “thing”.  And that is definately the technical term for it!  I’ve used the very new Soft Suede along with More Mustard & Taken with Teal.  I’ve used Vintage Vogue as well.  Hope you like it!!

Also because sometimes Megan thinks I’m fibbing, i’m recording here a few photos of my very tidy craft room!  I know it’s only tidy because we are having open homes, however, it is still tidy and that counts!!  lol!! So Meges, PROOF!!  hahaha (you know I love you!)

Happy Stamping!!

Bold Birthday & A Season of Dashing!

Does anyone else have trouble coming up with catchy titles for their posts?  I’m afraid I have used all brain matter up on growing this baby and you’re all gonna have to live with my pathetic attempts for something catchy!! LOL.

The following cards were made recently at a SAS I did recently (waving Kerryn, Kerry, Chrissy & Crew).  There were 16 people there and each made three of each design that’s nearly 100 cards in less than three hours!!  Wouldn’t it have been cool to see them all together??

Anyway, enough rambling!  The following card is one we made on the night.  You’ll have to forgive the photo, I wasn’t quick enough to get one before the SAS and during the course of the night it had a small run in with a Turquoise inkpad!  I think the Ink won!

Stamps: Big Bold Birthday
Cardstock: Kraft, Regal Rose, Whisper White, Celery
Ink: Regal Rose, Tempting Turquoise, So Saffron
Other: Turquoise grosgrain ribbon, Dazzling Diamonds, 2way Glue Pen, Petals & Paisley DSP, 1″ & 1/4″ Circle punches.

The next card is using two of my favourite Christmas things this year – the Season of Joy Stamp Set & Dashing Designer Series Papers!

Stamps: Season of Joy
Cardstock: Sahara Sand, Old Olive, Real Red
Ink: Old Olive, Real Red
Other: 1″ Circle Punch, Silver Brads, Dimensionals, Sponges, Dashing DSP

I loved that the ladies that were there all put their own spin on the designs and that all cards were different and unique, yet used the exact materials!  Gotta love that!

OK, that’s it from me for now.  I’m itching to get stamping but it’s all way to hard at the moment so you have to bear with me for a wee bit longer!

Until Next time,
Happy Stamping!

Accordian Album

Well, i’m a naughty blogger and I apologise if you have been back and there hasn’t been anything new for you to look at.  In my defence I’ve been a tad busy with the everyday occurrences of life with three children and one on the way!! (Well that’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!!)

Firstly I’d like to show you the pictures of the accordion album I am running for a hostess as a class next week – Hi Lauren!  As the attendees (& most importantly the hostess!) have boys they wanted something more masculine.  I love the East Coast Prep Designer Series papers and so this album was born.  The little accordion card on page 5 of the catalogue was where I took the original inspiration from.  I haven’t popped the pictures in yet and I still have some stamping to do on the insides but have left it fairly plain for now.

Stamps: Big Deal Alpha Jumbo.

Card stock: Real Red, Whisper White, More Mustard, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Non-SU Chipboard for covers and tags.  East Coast Prep Designer Series Double Sided Papers.

Other: Star Punch, Cropadile, Pewter Jumbo Eyelets, Wide Grosgrain Ribbon in Real Red, Grosgrain ribbon in Tempting Turquoise, More Mustard and Always Artichoke, Red Sticky Strip and sanding blocks.

The album is quite large with the cover measuring 5 3/4″ square.  I wanted something that was big enough for a couple of smaller photos and plenty of space for journaling if that’s what took your fancy.

Hope you like it.

Until next time, happy creating!

Scrapping my Beautiful Boy!

My Stampin’ Up! Upline Alisa Tilsner posted some challenges on our team forum last week.  This is one of the things I made for the challenges.  This one was to use Blue Bayou, Soft Sky, Chocolate Chip & Whisper White in a card or layout.  I decided to scrap this beautiful picture I took of my darling little man a month or so back.  He is such a lovely natured little guy!!

Cardstock: Blue Bayou & Soft Sky Textured Cardstock, Chocolate Chip and Whisper White.

Stamps: Genuine Article & Office Accoutrement.

Accesories: 1 1/4″ Square Punch, Scissors, Blue Bayou Double Stitched Ribbon (yummy).

Now a couple of points of interest are the zig zags at the bottom of the page.  I have made these using my 1 1/4″ square punch.  I just turned it upside down, put the paper in where I thought was a good size, marked the punch with a black pen to use as a guide for the rest of the punches.  Aligning the marks and the previouse punched triangle as I went along. Does that make sense?  If not let me know and I can attempt a tutorial.   The Other point of interest is the photo corner in the top right hand of the photo.  I again used te 1 1/4″ punch.  I punched out a square from the textured Soft Sky Cardstock and cut it in half on the diagonal.  I put the two triangles together and cut it across as wide as I thought the photo corner should be.  Hope that helps!

Until next time, happy stamping!!
