Introducing…
The lovely Lara May Dunn
Lara was born 2 weeks ago on Wednesday, 5 November at 2.59pm. She was 2980Kg (6 pound 9 ounces) and was 49cm long.
I’m sorry i’ve not been blogging in the last couple of weeks but it’s been a whirlwind since Lara’s birth. Some of you may already know that she was born with Calcaneovalgus feet which is similar to Tallipes. She has had a splint on her left foot and a cast on her right since the day after her birth. She progressed to a splint on the right foot on Monday! She will have physio on her feet for the next few months and by the time she’s walking you will never know she had any problems at all. Isn’t modern medicine magnificent? We actually didn’t get out of hostpital until last Tuesday as Lara had to spend a few days under phototherapy due to severe Jaundice. She is still a little yellow but 1000% on what she was!!
Today is my first day at home by myself with the little darling and I can finally catch my breath from the whirlwind that has been life in the last two weeks!!

Wow, a wee little gal
I’m glad everything is starting to settle down for you all. The day after Karl was born he was placed into a brace for hips which had the potential to dislocate all the time. He was in it for 12 weeks, and after that, we’ve never had a problem with his hips. I had actually forgotten about the brace!
The time will fly as you already know!
She is sooooooooo cute!!! I have missed you blogging and look forward to logging on for your laughs and beautiful work again.
Great to have you back. Lara is looking beautiful and I can’t wait to visit so I can have a cuddle.

She looks so fragile. Those siblings will surely “toughen” her up pretty quickly…with lots of cuddles, of course!
