Woo hoo! I was finally able to get some stamping done in peace and quiet. My hubby took our two eldest to a camping birthday party on the weekend and it meant I had some much needed time out doing what I love bestest stamping!! Alexandra was a doll and went to bed well and I got stuck in and made some cards & other secret stuff. I can show you the cards as they were for the Elite Challenges Blog. The other stuff you will need to wait for. I know that some of my team (waving girls!) read my blog and I would hate to ruin the surprise of the projects we are going to be making at my Mad Inkstincts Team Extravaganza on Saturday. (It’s an extravaganza because I’m breaking out the assorted cream bikkies not just ordinary assorteds!! LOL). Righto sorry, enough rambling.
Now the colour challenge was to use Rose Red, Regal Rose & Wild Wasabi. I really love these colours together and my original intention was to use the Pretty Princess set as I think these colours just scream gorgeous, however, Ms Dunstan beat me to it and I thought I should try to crack open a set of stamps I’ve not used for a while!
Stamps: Petals & Paisley, Party Punch (hostess)
Ink: Regal Rose, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi
Cardstock: Whisper White, Regal Rose, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi
Other: Label Punch, Tab Punch, Regal Rose 5/8″ Grosgrain, sponges.
The next challenge over at the Elite blog was to use the Pretty Princess stamps as they are on sale this month as part of SU’s 20th Birthday Celebrations.
I have wanted to do a “window” card for a while and I thought this was a cute set to try it with. I’ve gone with the cake instead of the Princess for the front, just because I can. LOL. The colouring is done with my SU! Markers.
Stamps: Pretty Princess
Ink: Basic Black, Regal Rose, Handsome Hunter
Cardstock: Regal Rose, So Saffron, Handsome Hunter, Rose Red
Other: 1 1/4″ Circle Punch, 1 3/8″ Circle punch, SU Markers, 5/8″ Regal Rose Grosgrain
I have NEVER ever used Handsome Hunter before. I bought Alexandra the cutest PJ’s the other day with these colours in them and I thought hmmmnn Handsome Hunter, I might just have to use that!
Anyway go on over to the Elite Blog to check out what everyone else has been doing. It felt good to get a couple of challenges done!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
Mad

WOW!!! GOJUS cards Mad….I was looking at the second one, asking myself if that was HH or if you just had really bad lighting???? LOL! Actually, I’m a bit tempted to try that colour combo out for myself
Pity I can’t be there next week now that I know you’re breaking out the cream biscuits!
holy moly those are some FABULOUS cards right there! (i especially love the little window inset idea with a smaller coordinating stamp INSIDE the card…gotta try that…)
but where is this HANDSOME HUNTER fella?!?! i’d love to see his pic as well!!!
