Octonaughts to the ready!!! How many of you have little people that love that show? My beautiful nephew does and it’s his birthday party tomorrow. So. I made an Octonaught card. It’s not perfect. But you know what? I had a great time making it and I think James (and his Mummy) will love it!
All the little characters were so big I had to use an A4 sheet of Cardstock folded over. I also try drawing the octopus thing on the Captain’s hat but suffice to say my husband thought it resembled something that shouldn’t be on a child’s card. I’ll say no more! lol
I’ve used a variety of punches and as I said it’s far from perfect (hello crooked stamping!), but i’m happy with how it turned out!
Until next time,
My teeny tiny little baby is turning 3! How fast the time flies! How many times in the last almost 3 years did I think we wouldn’t get to this point (although we are not quite there yet!)?! So we need to celebrate! Celebrate what a milestone she has reached, what a milestone we have all reached as a family! 3! It blows my mind.
Anyway! Here’s the front of the invitations I’ve made – sorry if you’re getting one and your surprise is spoilt!
And a close up of the cute front bit:
It’s just a one layer card (1/4 of a sheet of cardstock) with all the pertinent details on the back. I used the Delicate Doilies stamp set to make my own designer papers. I had my Katelin Rose helping me out cranking the handle of the bigshot on the Pennant die to make the yellow doily shapes and then also embossing the pool party layer. She’s a great helper!
Hope that you’re having a great day.
Until next time,
Hi!! Busy around here at the moment! Well it’s always busy around here!! lol. I fell into a big heap after the mammoth effort of the Papercraft Festival for the week getting my energy to contend with school holidays! We are onto the last day of the first week. One week to go!! Actually, my kiddies are being particularly good. (touch wood! touch wood!!!)
One night this week I was lucky enough to have the illustrious Kirsty Brown visiting for a play. She was kind enough to give me some instruction on Brayering. I’ve done it before but a looooonnnng time ago and I had forgotten anything I may have learnt previously! But look! This is what I made!
I’m submitting it as my entry for this weeks Inkspiration Challenge. Here’s the sketch if you want some inspiration:
I love playing along with the Inkspirations challenges when I get time! Go check out the gorgeous design teams work as well.
Ok, got to keep running as there is a list as long as my arm to get through today!
Until next time,
The papercraft festival! If you were too and you stopped by our stand I hope you were inspired by what we had on display!
We worked really hard over the last few weeks to pull it together. Yep, all this in just three weeks. We were also limited by the release of the new catty and the lack of being able to order too much of the gorgeous stuff in time to create masterpieces with it. But, I think we pulled it off?!
On the plus side, I have quite a few samples to show you now!! LOL
I met heaps of very interesting and lovely people over the three days. And we’ll do it all over again in February. Can’t wait! Looking forward to seeing you there!
Back soon with some more samples!
