Hello! Hello!

What a week.  It’s crazy in my world at the moment!  I’m busy busy as always!!  Just popping in to say hi and to post the card I made a dear dear friend for her birthday.  I’ve used the Mojo Monday week 140 sketch.  Loved it!!

Last *last* Top Note card

Well maybe not the last card I make with it…but perhaps the last one that I show you for a while!!  I have Buck (the Big Shot) sitting on my desk and it’s so easy to reach for him and get myself a card whipped up in no time.

This was seriously a 5 minute card.  What’s that?  You could tell??  Oh well!!  LOL

And this next picture is what happens when your three year old sees you taking pictures of cards.  ”Take one of ME Mummy!!!”

More Top Notes!!

Ok, last post on the Top Note for the moment.  I’ll try to make something else to post soon!!  LOL

I had seen somewhere on the big wide internet someone had made a little tissue box holder using top notes and I thought ooh wouldn’t it make a good Note holder??  So I made it. See, see!!

My only problem was that I made the box part so deep that I had to “stuff” the bottom to make it look fuller.  I had cut up goodness knows how many pieces of A4 paper to use & I’d had enough!!  On my next one, I will go for a box that’s not quite as deep!!!  LOL

Hi hi!  I told you i’d be back today.  Albeit later than I had originally planned in my head!!  It’s a shame that what goes on in my head never really seems to come to fruition in the real world.  Does anyone else have that problem??  lol

These two cards I made using a similar layout to the one on yesterday’s card.  Instead of the pleated paper I did some ruffled ribbon in Elegant Eggplant.  Love that colour.

I really love this colour combination.  Sahara Sand, Basic Grey, Elegant Eggplant.  Beautiful.  I used my trusty Organic Outlines.  And sentiments from Sweet Little Sentiments and Best yet.  The buttons and Brads are SU Basic Grey Corduroy.  I love the texture on this card!!

Anyway, hope you’re having a great week so far.  Hope to get back to you with some more stuff i’ve been doing soon!!

Orange and green should never be seen

Or was that purple and green?  On the cover of a magazine??  Anyway..I’m a BIG fan of Tangerine Tango and Old Olive!  Big. Fan. hee

This card will be winging it’s way across the miles to a lovely lady whom I just know will appreciate the colours as much as I do.  Orange makes her happy on the inside as well.  I haven’t posted it yet.  I’ve not even written on the inside, but as I was making it I couldn’t help but think of her lovely smiling face so it’s definitely gotta go to her!! :-)  Do you ever do that?  Make something and then think, oh XYZ would love this?  And then send it?  Hmmnn.. I think I need to be doing it more often that’s for sure!!

I cannot go past this layout at the moment.  I’ve got some more cards to show you using it tomorrow.  I know.  That will be three posts in a row.  Don’t be falling over.  I might forget yet! LOL

In the doghouse…

I have a confession to make.  I ate quite a bit {read: most…if not nearly all} of the chocolate that I had previously given to hubby.   BUT, in my defence, he didn’t seem so interested.  I was also experiencing hormonal imbalances due to the unfortunate business of being a woman! They are my excuses and I am sticking to them!!

I did purchase him some replacement chocolate though. Because I’m that kind of girl.  I did also make an amusing (well, it was to me!) card to go with said chocolate!!

I made a cute doggy out of punches!!  I was aiming for remorse but don’t think I quite pulled it off!!  Anyway, Mark laughed and continues to think i’m several birds short of a flock or something like that!! :-P

Due to the horrid greyness of the day today I’ve been trying to do some stamping to brighten my mood.  What this means for you is blog posts!!  How excited does that make you feel??  tee hee

A birthday and a book…

Hello again!  I’m back.  I’m desperate to get some more stamping done but struggling to find the time at the moment.  Life has been crazy hectic with stuff on nearly every day.  Next week is looking the same if not worse!  But I do have something to show you!  A very late birthday present for my dear friend {and downline} Megan.  (Waving at ya Meges!!)

A birthday book made out of the Top Note Die!!  Clever aren’t I?  Even more clever to add my own birthday in there too!!  {hint hint, nudge nudge!}.

It was quick and easy to make and i’m gaining muchos muscles from all the cranking of the Big Shot handle! (well, not really but I can still dream! ha)

Hi!!  Wow.  A week has past since the internet has been re-connected.  I have done a small amount of crafting.  Not much though as i’m not set up to my satisfaction.  I need more space!!  LOL  I have too much stuff!!  Perhaps I need to have an auction or something?  Anyway, enough of my chat!

Here is my submission for Makeesha’s Sketch challenge this week.  I had fun making these flowers.  I think I’m going to need to do some more!

I’m BACK!!!

Did you miss me bad??  LOL.  I can tell you that I missed my internet SOOO much.  It was probably a very good thing that i’ve not had it on though as I got all my boxes unpacked and rooms sorted except my study.  I am in a temporary arrangement at the moment until we convert the garage at this house.  Which can’t happen until we sell the other house.  Ugh.  So nothing creative has been made here yet, but i’m working on it!! I had a burst of inspiration last night.  Stay tuned to see where it leads me!

I was very very touched to receive FOUR Beautiful Blog awards during the time that I was away.  I didn’t even know that there were four people out there reading me!!  LOL.  I often just think i’m talking to myself!!!  Anyway, a very big thank you to Sonia Garbutt, Jenny Hayward, Teneale Williams and Linda Craven for awarding me with a Beautiful Blogger Award.  the rules are that I have to nominate ten other beautiful bloggers and to tell you ten things about myself.  I hope that because I got it four times I don’t have to tell you 40 things.  Gosh, wouldn’t that be boring!! LOL

Ten things about me:

1.  I have four children.  (hee, that was easy)
2. I was married at 18!!  To my best friend, (and not because of one of the aforementioned children!!)  LOL
3. I am a twin.  I have a brother.  I got all the good looks!! teehee
4. I have OCD tendancies that I’m petrified i’ve passed onto my son.  He’s a little odd sometimes!!
5. My fourth child was born with Cerebral Palsy and several other foibles.  She’s now 18 months old.
6. I have more stamps and paper than I really need (shocking Isn’t it?)
7. I don’t love the cold.
8.  I always regret not finishing school.  At 15 I thought I was smart. hahahahahaha
9. I drink my coffee black with no sugar.  You all needed to know that.
10.  I have a crush on Gerard Butler.  There – i’ve said it out loud!!
