Spring Mini Launch

Only 2 more sleeps until you are able to order from the new Spring Mini Catalogue!!!  I can tell you that it’s gorgeous!!  I’ve been very busily making things for my Launch that is on this Saturday.  Wanna see??  Of course you do, I’m quite sure you’re not in here for my overwhelming charm and wit!!  LOL

I’ve made some more stuff too but I shall save that for another post.  Can’t give you too much to look at all at once!!  I’ve used the gorgeous new stamp set called Great Friend and it’s matching DSP Walk in The Park to create the tin and the Card.  The Christmas Card was created using Tree Trimmings.  I’ve stamped on acrylic using White Stazon (which is new in the Mini as well!).  And aren’t I challenged??  Anyone spot the photograpy boo boo??  LOL

If you would like a copy of the Mini Catalogue posted out to you, drop me an email!

Until next time!
Happy Stamping!

Choo Choo…with an evil twist….

Ok, perhaps not an evil twist but a bit of a grungy look.  Such a sweet set, perfect for that little someone in your life.  What’s that?  Haven’t seen it before??  Why, yes, you would be right!  It’s in the NEW spring Mini Catalogue being released NEXT week!!  Exciting!!  And if you’d like to come along to my launch on Saturday the 1st you could make something with product from the new catty!!  But I digress!

Thomas is off to another birthday party this afternoon and I needed to make a card for the birthday boy.  So I asked Thomas what Nathan liked.  Our conversation went like this:
Me: Do you think Nathan would like a train on his card?
Tom: Uh…no…ummm he likes zombies and stuff.  Do a zombie, yeah he’d like that.
Me: Umm….I don’t have any zombie stamps.  I have animals, like a lion and elephant and a giraffe.
Tom: Yeah! Do like, evil animals! That’d be wicked.
Me: No they aren’t evil, they’re cute animals.
Tom: Well can you draw like an evil face on it?
Me: Ummmmm (pretending to think about it) NO! How about that train?
Tom: Yeah, ok…but do an evil face on the train!!

So after “grunging” it up a bit, I came up with the following!  It’s not a Zombie.  It’s not an evil animal or even an evil train but I hope Nathan likes it!!  LOL

As you can see i’ve rolled the Right on Track wheel along the Whisper White cardstock.  I’ve used the Basic Gray Ink pad and sort of bounced it along the bottom of the white to “rough” it up a little.  I’ve also used the pad directly around the edges of the white.  I stamped all the parts of the train and then “kissed” it onto the Sanded BG that was inked in Basic Gray.  I also used the Sanded BG on the Baja Breeze DSP that I matted the white onto.    The “flag” at the top of the card has been raised in the middle using 2 dimensionals.  I used a *new* Jumbo Brad on the end.  All the carriages have been raised with dimensionals.  You can see it a bit better in the next picture.

Stamps: Choo Choo, Sanded BG, Right on Track Wheel, Big Bold Birthday & Headline Alpha (retired)
Ink: Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Baja Breeze DSP
Other: Dimensionals, JUMBO BRADS (new in the mini!!), Paper Snips

Anyway, I liked it.  Hope Nathan does too!  Tom thought it was ok.  Not “wicked” which is, according to him, very cool. Did I mention Thomas is only 5!?!  And already using the lingo!   LOL

Until Next time,
Happy stamping!

Still here!!!!!

Sorry! Sorry! Sorry! Dear blog readers.  I’ve had a shocker this last couple of weeks!  I know that I have promised a couple of things on the blog and they are still coming unfortunately time has been a factor!

Firstly we’ve had school holidays which means absolutely no time for me to create or even get too crafty at all!  Then all 4 kids got sick and as some of you may know my 4th child, Lara, has Cerebral Palsy along with a few other little foibles and when she gets sick, she gets sick!  So a 4 day hospital stay  ended off our hols!  I’ve also had a very sore tooth and now am antibiotics for the abcess which has been the source of all my grief!

Phew!!  So it’s been busy here!  Lara has another small procedure happening this Friday and another overnight stay at hospital but hopefully (fingers crossed) I can start to settle down a bit next week!!

I just wanted to let you all know why it’s been quiet and hope to be back to show you some of the projects up my sleeve!

Until then,

Happy Happy Birthday Dear Kristie!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR SISTER!!!  HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUUUUUUUU! (just imagine my off key, high pitched singing ;-) ;-) )

I hope you like it!  I made sure it had all your favourite elements – Ribbon – Check, Cupcake – Check, Bling – Check!!  I also couldn’t resist adding a smidgeon of pumpkin pie on there.  Just because it’s good for your development to be exposed periodically!!  LOL!!  And the fluffy stuff on the cupcake is belly button lint dyed pink!!  Cool eh?  Well, alright actually it’s flocking….but it feels mysteriously like…ok ok!!  I’ll stop now!!  LOL

May your day be filled with all the things you love the mostest.  (I’m sending MaMa home to you today – thanks for letting me keep her for the extra night!).  And here’s the card she made you too:
