Ok, perhaps not an evil twist but a bit of a grungy look. Such a sweet set, perfect for that little someone in your life. What’s that? Haven’t seen it before?? Why, yes, you would be right! It’s in the NEW spring Mini Catalogue being released NEXT week!! Exciting!! And if you’d like to come along to my launch on Saturday the 1st you could make something with product from the new catty!! But I digress!
Thomas is off to another birthday party this afternoon and I needed to make a card for the birthday boy. So I asked Thomas what Nathan liked. Our conversation went like this:
Me: Do you think Nathan would like a train on his card?
Tom: Uh…no…ummm he likes zombies and stuff. Do a zombie, yeah he’d like that.
Me: Umm….I don’t have any zombie stamps. I have animals, like a lion and elephant and a giraffe.
Tom: Yeah! Do like, evil animals! That’d be wicked.
Me: No they aren’t evil, they’re cute animals.
Tom: Well can you draw like an evil face on it?
Me: Ummmmm (pretending to think about it) NO! How about that train?
Tom: Yeah, ok…but do an evil face on the train!!
So after “grunging” it up a bit, I came up with the following! It’s not a Zombie. It’s not an evil animal or even an evil train but I hope Nathan likes it!! LOL

As you can see i’ve rolled the Right on Track wheel along the Whisper White cardstock. I’ve used the Basic Gray Ink pad and sort of bounced it along the bottom of the white to “rough” it up a little. I’ve also used the pad directly around the edges of the white. I stamped all the parts of the train and then “kissed” it onto the Sanded BG that was inked in Basic Gray. I also used the Sanded BG on the Baja Breeze DSP that I matted the white onto. The “flag” at the top of the card has been raised in the middle using 2 dimensionals. I used a *new* Jumbo Brad on the end. All the carriages have been raised with dimensionals. You can see it a bit better in the next picture.

Stamps: Choo Choo, Sanded BG, Right on Track Wheel, Big Bold Birthday & Headline Alpha (retired)
Ink: Basic Gray, Baja Breeze, Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss
Cardstock: Basic Gray, Whisper White, Baja Breeze DSP
Other: Dimensionals, JUMBO BRADS (new in the mini!!), Paper Snips
Anyway, I liked it. Hope Nathan does too! Tom thought it was ok. Not “wicked” which is, according to him, very cool. Did I mention Thomas is only 5!?! And already using the lingo! LOL
Until Next time,
Happy stamping!
