I kissed a bird….and I liked it!!

goodfriend2

I love it when I think of clever and catchy titles for my blog posts!  It amuses me.  Small things and all that!! LOL

Here’s a quick card for your viewing pleasure today.  I’ve got a lot of things to do and very little time to do them in so i’m on the fly today!!

goodfriend1

The “kissing” in my title comes from the “kissing” technique – have you ever tried it??  It’s heaps of fun!  I inked up my birdy {from Good Friend in the new catalogue} in Baja Breeze (divine new in colour) and then inked up the starbursty stamp with Pacific Point and stamped it directly onto the Baja Breezed birdy and voila!  Looks pretty cool huh?

So I finally got a chance to have a play with some of the new products that will be in the NEW CATALOGUE which will be released TOMORROW!!  Can you tell i’m a tad excited about that??  Oh yeah.  It’s DIVINE!!

Anyway, if you’ve got questions you know how to reach me!  This is one of the cards we will be making this weekend *waving to Alicia & Co!!*.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping

Busy girl = Bad Blogger!

March 26th, 2009

Oooh i’m so naughty.  I haven’t posted for days!  I have been a busy girl though!  Our littlest one was back at another specialist (we would so win “ologist” bingo should we ever have the need to play!) on Tuesday.  This time it was a respiritory specialist about her floppy voice box.  She has such trouble feeding and they will need to do a bronchoscopy to check it out and then possibly an operation to fix it if it’s what they think it is.  Awful, horrid stuff but totally necessary.  We’re not sure when it will be yet….but when it happens she’ll be in the ICU at the children’s hospital for 7-10 days.

We’ve also celebrated Tom’s 5th birthday this week as well!  (yes 2 children 2 years 3 days apart!!)  And i’m busy trying to get ready for his Spiderman & friends party on Saturday morning.  Oh the fun, the joy, the exhaustion of 14 five year old boys!! Pray for me!!

I did make master Tom a card – 5 greens (his fave colour) but I’m too lazy to find the camera, download the picture and put it up here!! I will try to get to that after the dust has settled on the weekend!

I’ve also been “guest” blogging on my sisters blog this week as she’s been in hospital!  Have you visited my sister Kristie’s blog before? Well check her out.  I was a bit naughty and I used her password and login to do a surprise post.  He he he.  I put up a picture of us as kids with our siblings!  My bet is she’ll pull the picture when she gets out.  So in that eventuality – here it is again for you!!

morrison-kids

I asked her readers to tell me which one she was.  I gave them a clue and said I was the CUTEST one!!  I so am though! LOL.  Left to right we are: Kristie, Madonna, Scott (the very grumpy one), Shaun (my twin brother), and Anna at the end.  I must say I really love this picture.  Probably because I think I look so darn adorable and also because that toy I was holding was DOGGY!!  A very NEW DOGGY!!  He was the love of my life until Mark!  Seriously, I even had pieces of him still when I was 15!  Until Anna’s boyfriend thought it would be funny to steal him and to this day I still don’t know what happened to him!  Devastated barely covers how I felt!!  I think I just might need to scrapbook this picture sometime soon!!  Can anyone recommend how to fit in an extra couple of hours in the day??

Anyway, enough rambling!  I hope to get some samples up of some yummy new product soon.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

7 Pinks for my Princess

March 21st, 2009

Aaarrrgghhh my first baby turns 7 tomorrow!!  Where on earth did those years go?  She is bright, funny, has magical powers over her brother to get him to do what she wants, is beautiful and kind natured {when she wants to be! lol}, she has a wicked sense of humour {gets that from her Dad} and is a joy to be around {most of the time! – after all she is a 7 year old girl!}.

And in honour of her turning 7 I made a card using SEVEN PINKS!!  Yep.  All 7 pinks that SU! have I used!!

katelins-7-card

And they are - Pink Pirouette *new in colour*, Rose Red, Regal Rose, Pretty in Pink, Blush Blossom, Pink Passion and Pixie Pink!!  Phew!  Mark thought I should also use 7 embellishments {I was shocked he even knew the word ;-) } and seven ribbons but I thought that may have been taking it all a little too far!!  I’ve used the Always stamp set that was in the Spring Mini Catalogue! I was pleased to see it make it into our new one!!  The heart was inked with Pink Pirouette and then “thumped” with Rose Red & Regal Rose.  The chunky glitter is from the Summer Mini {and it’ll be in the new catty too! wink wink!}.  Ribbon is Taffeta.

I hope you like it and that my girl does too.  Pink is her favouritest colour in the whole wide world!  Here’s a cute picture that was taken a couple of weeks ago after a trip to the local farmer’s markets.

PS if you’re wondering about my sister Kristie – she’s still in hospital and hopes to be home on Monday!!

Baby Shower Thank you Cards

March 21st, 2009

Gosh a week’s gone by!!  Where did that one go???  I was coming back to post on Monday and all of a sudden it’s Saturday again.  It’s the joy of being a mother of 4…days just drift into each other in a jumble of washing, cooking, cleaning and dealing with little ones!!  But you didn’t come here to read about that!!

Here are the cards and the case I made for hubby’s cousin who is expecting her first baby.  These were the Thank-you cards for the baby shower.  Twenty of them!  I kept the design fairly simple and I hope gender neutral!  I used the Spring Fling DSP with co-ordinating colours – Sage Shadow, So Saffron, Pretty in Pink & Certainly Celery.  I’ve used the Bundle of Joy Giraffe on them and coloured him in with SU Markers.  Bundle of Joy is sadly retiring at the end of March!!  It’s been a well used set for me that’s for sure!!

I also stamped the giraffe onto each of the Envelopes.  I used the lovely Scallop Border punch, Scallop Circle, 1 1/4″ Circle and the Oval Punches as well.  I made up the pattern for the box from scratch based on the width of how many cards were there.

Feel free to email me if you have any questions.

Oh and by the way – THE NEW CATTY IS HERE!!!!  It’s divine too!!  If you would like your copy posted out to you so that you have it in your handsy by 1 April email me at madonna@madonnadunnDOT comDOTau they are $15 including postage or $10 if you collect from me!!  Better yet, if you are in Brisbane or up to an hour(ish) away, I can host a workshop for you and you’ll get your copy FREE!!

Until next time!
