Pay It Forward Rak

Waaaay back several months ago before my family migrated to the big city I participated in a Pay it Forward Rak on Sandra Allan’s  beautiful and inspirational site.  So having FINALLY settled down (well as settled as one can be in a house half the size!) I’ve got pictures of the gorgeous PIF RAK that Sandra sent me.

So now i am going to offer three people who comment on this post (drawn randomly) the opportunity to continue with the Pay it Forward RAK.  All you have to do to be part of this is leave a comment for me on this thread. By leaving a comment on this thread you are binding yourself to the commitment of blogging & paying it forward with hand made creations (cards, Scrapbook related, OTP) RAK once you recieve your surprise from me.

I’ve been published in this Issue (#75) of the Australian Paper Crafts Magazine.  It was my first ever submission to a magazine and it was accepted first go!!  I’m so proud of me!!  LOL!!  It’s a big thrill to see your name in print in a magazine!!  Below is the Baby Shower Book in the Mag.  If you’re interested it should be in the newsagents now.

Cath’s Card

This is the birthday card i made for one of the girls in my team for her birthday.  It’s a square card (I’ve been a little partial to square lately).  I have used a stamp set you may not recognise as it’s one of the Hostess sets from the NEW Catalogue.  Isn’t it gorgeous?  It’s called Time Well Spent and it’s a level three hostess freebie.  Right, the card….

Stamps: Time Well Spent

Inks: Chocolate Chip

Markers (to colour): So Saffron, Certainly Celery, Regal Rose, Pretty in pink, Close to Cocoa.

Cardstock: Very Vanilla, Chocolate Chip, Confetti Cream, Pretty in Pink, Certainly Celery. 

I have used the colour spritzer tool on the background of the Very Vanilla to soften it a little.  To colour the stamps i used the markers, cut them out and mounted some on Stampin’ Up! Dimensionals.  Below is a side view of the card.

Ella’s Gifts

Ella’s Letters

This is the gift that I gave dear friends on the birth of their fourth little angel Ella at the beginning of this year.  The wooden letters are from Spotlight and they have been decorated with the Loves Me Papers from the Summer Mini (expires 31/3).  I have used Flirty Ribbon Originals from the same Summer Mini as well.  I have also used some contraband (lol) buttons, rubons and quotes from my pre-su days.  I adhered it all with good old Mod Podge and Stampin’ Up! Crystal Effects.  Crystal Effects is magic and will stick anything down as well as give dimension to your project. Perfect for Hodgepode, buttons, ribbons that move etc.

This is the card that I made to go with the letters.  I made Sue the thankyou cards / birth announcements in these colours so i kind of stuck with the theme.

I used the delicious Bundle of Joy stamp set which was in the Spring Mini and which I am pleased to announce is in the new 2008/09 Idea Book and Catalogue.  The main colours are Chocolate Chip, Pretty in Pink, Confetti Cream and the paper from the Loves Me series again (just too beautiful).  I’ve also used the Welcome from Warm Words, hodgepodge from the Antique Brass selection and a small offcut of the Flirty Ribbon again.  I think that they liked it!  It was for a very special and beautiful little girl so I hope that it was special enough!!

Stampin’ Up! Retirement List is out

Hi everyone!  Long time no blogging I know!!  I have actually changed my site AGAIN! But this should make it a tad easier for me to update regularly.  Well, that is the theory anyway!!

It’s March and the list of Retiring Stamps and products is out!  Anyone who books a workshop with me in March will receive an Inkpad and an assortment of the 12×12 designer series papers that are going out. I am also offering a percentage off any items that are on the Retirement Lists.  Please email me for details.
