First day of the school holidays here. Two weeks of carefree nothingness!! Well….not really nothingness but most certainly no school lunches or school runs. Bliss!!!
Today is the MDS Monday Sketch challenge!! Head on over to Nicole’s blog HERE to check it out.
My submission is as follows:
This weeks page is my lovely little Lara May. How far she has come since that tiny little bundle that she was when she was born.
Hope you’re having a super fab Monday wherever you are!!
Until next time!
Hello!! I’ve been up to my eyeballs in creating lovely things for a family wedding that’s coming up very fast! As such i’ve been a little out of the loop. Anyway! Here now! lol
I saw this Colour Q challenge that had been pinned on Pinterest and I loved the colours…no surprises there right?? lol
Here’s the colours:
And here is my card:
Stamps: Around the World
Cardstock: Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Righ Razzleberry, Primrose Petals
Other: Basic Rhinestone, Hexagon Punch, Brights Stack DSP, White Bakers twine.
Hope you like.
Until next time,
It’s time again for another sketch Challenge! Remember, you don’t have to have MDS to participate! You can do paper and ink projects too!! The challenge is open for two weeks and you can enter on Nicole’s Blog – HERE.
Here’s the Sketch:
And here is my version:
I did a page with some pictures I took of my Tommy at Hockey a few weeks ago. This is his first ever season playing! Kate has joined too so stay tuned for her pics which I’m sure to scrap in the next wee while.
Until next time!
Sorry for the two day break in blogging!! I couldn’t possibly keep up the daily routine! Puts way to much pressure on myself!! lol I have been busy in the last few days though with classes and children and general life stuff. In my alternate reality I would have liked to have spent some quality time in my bed catching up with my reading….alas the real world beckons!
Today’s card is one I made for an interstate friend and fellow SU Demo. I loved a card she’d made recently and quite cheekily asked her if she’d made it for me…well it did say “my friend” on it….and because I loved it so she sent it to me! Aren’t I lucky? Anyway, I promised a card in return and asked what her fave things were. She replied with anything purple and vintage. Oooookay. Neither one of those categories is one I’m familiar with! lol. So while at retreat I took the opportunity to use a set I don’t own, Established Elegance. I teamed it with Concord Crush, Wisteria Wonder and Naturals Ivory Cardstock. I can safely say Michelle loved her card, so here it is!
I also used the Top Note Die, some of the Victoria Crochet Trim and the Hello is from a Sale a Bration Freebie called Elementary Elegance.
So while I was on the roll using the Established Elegance stamps I also made this card….in part casing “The” Kirsty Brown and using the sketch from the challenge at Sweet Sunday Sketches . I used the divine papers from the Tickets & Tags Simply Scrappin Kit. For only $38.95 those kits are packed full of goodies!! I love them and I’m loving these papers very much!
So that’s it for this gloriously sunny Friday afternoon. Have a sensational weekend wherever you are and I hope you get some stamping in!!
Until next time,
Woot!! What’s this make it? Three whole days in a row of blogging?? I am finding however that I just want to show you all the cards I made in one great big hit though! Like an over excited preschooler who got to play with paints and has fifteen paintings to show their mum at the end of the day!!! Or something like that!! LOL
So this next card was the third challenge of the weekend – use the stamp set that you detest the most. The one that’s like fingernails on a chalkboard to you!! For me this set is……Loads of Love. Blech. Can’t. Stand. It. And for extra bonus points if you could use the colours you hate the most. I couldn’t be bringing myself to make a Pacific Point/Garden Green truck so I stuck with trusty old Daffodil Delight, Pool Party and lucky Limeade. I had to make it palatable. Now before I go and show you my creation, just remember – I am no Alisa Tilsner when it comes to colouring ok?!
At the end of it all I found I really didn’t mind that old truck…so long as it was yellow!! LOL
Over the Retreat Weekend I got about 10 single cards done and 10 quick and easily replicated birthday cards done. I’ve shown you the first one. Second Challenge was a colour challenge. I got my colours from The Design Seeds blog here.
And this was my card:
I used stamps I don’t own (gasp! I know! There are some! lol) firstly the En Francais Background. And yes, I did mean for the middle to not be inked. I had actually stamped it off on scrap paper before stamping onto the cardstock. The sentiment is from the Friendly Phrases set and for only $27.95 in clear mount, I think I’m going to get it! It’s a great size, not too big, not too small. The flowers are stamped using Markers in Choc chip, River Rock and Marina Mist and they are out of the Field Flowers Set. Another one I don’t own but after playing with on the weekend may need to look at adding to my collection. It was fun!
I’ve got a few more cards up my sleeve to show you and this weekend just gone I continued my mojo and did some more stamping! I’m enjoying getting inky at the moment and feel much happier after an hour (or three) of creating!!
Until next time,
Back so soon???!! Aren’t you lucky!! LOL
Just wanting to link you all up to Nicole’s Festive Friday posts! Check it out HERE. My submission this week was this card:
I used the Cherry Cobbler Embossing ink and the Snow Swirled Stamp Set to create the embossed tree on Glossy Cardstock. The background is called polished stone and it’s created using Isocol Rubbing Alcohol and the ink from SU re-inkers. It’s a great technique to use for something a little different. The ribbon is the Baha Breeze Seam Binding. I love that stuff!!! Any other questions on this, just let me know.
Don’t forget to go on over to Nicole’s Blog and play along with our Festive Friday Challenge!!!
Needed a little lift today and had seen this challenge floating around the internets. I liked how bright the colours were and it really appealed to me today!
Head on over to the Paper Players Challenge Blog to check it out. It doesn’t close until tomorrow night.
My card using these colours:

Gosh, what a week!! I wasn’t sure if I was coming or going for half of it!! I did find out however that i’m B12 deficient so that explains my inability to concentrate or focus!! Yay!! I’m not as insane as I thought I was!!
Anyway, I’ve finally gotten my sample together for the Mystery Card swap and there are a few other samples to share with you as well.
My kit included a sheet of the hostess 6×6 paper in Poppy Parade, an A5 sheet of Poppy Parade, some So Saffron and a piece of Baha Ribbon. I didn’t end up using the Baha ribbon but I added some Pear Pizazz to the mix and made this:
And! I do believe it was the first time I’d used Poppy Parade!! Yay me! I used the FREE SAB set Punch Pals and Great Friend for the Sentiment. I hope you like it!!
Now here are some more of the Mystery Kit cards for your enjoyment!!
You can also find some other samples from the Mystery Kit in the following places:
Annette @ Lavender thoughts
