Christmas Card Classes

Hello.  Long time no posting.  It’s been a crazy few weeks of school holidays and back to school and all the things that go along with co-ordinating that!!  I’ve also been up to my eyeballs in creating paper flower bouquets for my Niece who is getting married next weekend!! When I can, I will post pictures.

Now, I have been creating!! Yay!  These are the cards that are being created in my Christmas Classes in the next week or so.  If you’re interested in finding out more, please email me.

First card uses the O Holy Night stamp with some burlap ribbon and pieces of Designer Series paper from the Season of Style range.

The next card is my favourite!!!  If you follow me on Facebook you may have seen the base when I did it over the weekend.  I used the Encore Silver Ink stamped onto the Smoky Slate Cardstock. Result? Divine!!  These stamps are from the Special Season set & Christmas Messages.  The blue is Island Indigo.  I do love this combination of colours.

The final card uses the Wonderful Wreath Stamps and Merry Little Christmas stamps.  Merry Little Christmas has a coordinating Simply Created Card Kit.

As Happy As A….

Sometimes in the mornings, when we’ve been rushing to get out the door and this Mummy has been a wee bit shouty and short and may (or may not have) lost her temper a little bit, everyone gets a little bit of a pout and grump on.  One day after a bit of a morning that was worse than normal with kids (and I) being grumpier than normal I took a deep, deep breath and decided to change our moods.  I wasn’t going to wallow in the grumpy anymore.  And as such we as a family (Sans Mr D who was at work) decided that day we would be “as happy as Unicorns on Rainbows eating Cupcakes”!! Because that is as happy as you can be!!! Seriously! How much more happy can a person get??

And so….that brings me to my card…..This is take #2 of the Rainbow Unicorn Series.  There will be many more to come.  I feel it deep, deep down in my cockles.

So it’s been five days…

I’ve just been made aware it’s been five days since my last post!!  I am sorry Jemma for letting life get in the way of the blogging.  I’ll do my best to keep up again!! lol

So continuing on the stamping by the sea theme I’ll show you some of the rest of the cards that I made whilst relaxing and enjoying myself sans family.

One of the best things about retreat is getting to play with stamp sets that you don’t own….yet!! lol. This one – Cycle Celebration (only $29.95 in clearmount!!) – has been on my list from the beginning.  I enjoyed getting a chance to play with it.

Tomorrow is MDS Monday on the Blog so be sure to come back and check it out.

Until next time,
Happy Creating!!

Continuing Stamping by the Sea

….but technically it was an ocean….but stamping by the ocean doesn’t have the same ring to it does it??? lol

This card was one I had cased from Pinterest.  The original was a Jen Del Muro card.

From there I then used my socks as inspiration…continuing along with the geometric theme made this card! (And don’t you love my new yellow Converse!!!????!!!)

I used the Pennant Punch to make the triangles.  I kinda loved this one!!  I’m also a bit in love with the Candy Dots Stampin’ Up! are now selling! Yummy! Colours in this card are Pool Party, Daffodil Delight and Bermuda Bay. Birthday Greeting was from Cycle Celebration.

Hope you like the Geometric cards!!

Catch you next time!
Happy Stamping!!!

How’s that for a view for a relaxing Stamping weekend with some gorgeous old friends and some new ones I hadn’t met yet!! It was soooooo relaxing to head to Victor Harbour for three nights of much needed “me” time!  There were seven ladies all together for the weekend and stamping got started on Friday night!

Here’s the first card I made for the weekend.  Can I say, it was probably one of my favourites.  I love yellow chevron!! (Did you guess??)

Cardstock: Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive
Ink: Real Red, Crushed Curry
Stamps: Mixed Bunch, Four You, Chevron Background
I’m getting the blogging on peeps so stay tuned for the next few weeks while I share the rest of the Stamping By the Sea cards and some other things I’ve been working on. I’m happy to say I’ve been feeling very creative and you will all get the benefits of that!!

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!

Hello Lovelies!

Hello again!!  I don’t know what is actually going on with the whole continuous blogging thing but lets just roll with it and see where it goes!!  Last weekend I went to the lovely picturesque town of Victor Harbour where I spent several days stamping by the sea.  Those pictures will be uploaded over the next few days as I still need to clear a space off my table and get out the camera.  So the blogging will continue for a while!!

But! In the meantime here’s a card that I made with one of my downline a couple of weeks ago.  We set each other the challenge of our least favourite colours.  Blech.  Wisteria Wonder is mine!!  The trusty New Colour Coach told me it went with Soft Sky and Sahara Sand.  So this is what I made:

I used the Hello Lovely stamps along with the Beautifully Baroque stamp. I’ve also used the Beautifully Baroque embossing folder.  Considering I detest Wisteria Wondering I was quite happy with this!

See you tomorrow…or the next day….best not get ahead of myself!! lol

Happy Stamping!

A little bit of sunshine….

The other week I was feeling quite cross and the only (ONLY) thing that was going to un-cross me was having a little play with some Yellow Papers.  I don’t know if you’ve noticed, but I love yellow!!  It makes me happy on the inside…warms the cockles of my heart and gives me great pleasure. Yep. I really like it! So I decided that I’d make a bunch of yellow cards and send them out into the world to make other people happy on the inside too!!  The cards have found their way into the hands (and hopefully hearts) of the recipients so I can show *you* now!

So there wasn’t as much Yellow as I had initially intended but I hope that it was enough to make hearts happy on the inside. Let’s face it…any kind of mail into your letterbox that is NOT a bill has to make you smile just a little huh?  I have received some gorgeous creations in return and will photograph and post up here in the next wee while. Today is rainy and overcast here. Just the sort of day I like to spend curled up in bed with a book…..not likely to happen though with a list of “to do’s” as long as my arm.  Oh well in my “other world” (you know, the place you go to in your head…or is that just me??!) i’ll be curling up in bed with a book!! LOL

12 little cards went out one day, into some letterboxes far away!!

Until next time!
Happy Creating!!

A more subdued card

This card steps way outside the boundaries of what I normally do.  It’s calm as opposed to the loud bright colours that I normally use.  I wanted something that was going to be soothing and peaceful.  It’s the card I sent a blogger I follow who has recently been diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  Her story resonated with me so deeply I needed to send a card telling her she was in my thoughts and prayers.

The Doiley that i’ve used is from the Flirtatious Designer Series Specialty papers.  It’s a bit hard to tell in this photo but I did a bit of sponging with Crumb Cake and vintage-ing it up.  As far as my capacity extends to do so! I’m not so good at it but I was happy with this card. I {love} the Vanilla Seam Binding. So very nice!

Anyway, I hope she liked the card and that it bought her a bit of joy in what I can only imagine must be the worst time of her life.

Until next time!
Happy Stamping!

Big Hugs

I made this card for a gorgeous brave little girl who broke her arm this week.  She’s a friend of my Alexandra’s and they’ll be off to school together next year. Miss Laura was very brave when she broke her arm so I thought she needed a pretty card and some colouring in things to go with it.  Colouring in is an activity that requires no body movement and as such should be fairly safe for a little girl with a sore arm!

I’ve used Melon  Mambo and So Saffron ink, cardstock and DSP.  The gorgeous sentiment is from a new Hostess Stamp set called Perfect Words. I’ve also used Delicate Doilies and Creative Elements. I am also loving the scallop edge polka dot ribbon! I want more colours now!

I hope you like. I know Laura did.

Until next time,
Happy Stamping!
