Just add….Dimension!!

Oh my! Hold on to yourself! I’m posting two days in a row!!!! It’s all the TIME I’ve had with hubby and kids away!! I’m also finished my fundraising commitments and I have no classes to prep for right this minute!! I could play!! Yay!!
Anyway, over on the Just Add Ink challenge blog thier latest challenge is to Just add Dimension. Check it out HERE.
And my card:

The dimension part is the cool flower I made to go on the card. Yes? Dimension-y enough? I was going to add crystal effects to the thermometer bit but I can’t wait for it to dry. Patience is not one of my virtues!! LOL
Wanna know how to make that flower?? It’s super easy. All you need is:
* 1″x12″ strip of Designer Series Paper
* 1 x 1-1/4″ Circle
* Strong Adhesive
* Eyelet Border Punch
* Crimper
* Brad or Button for centre.

1& 2. Punch eyelet border along strip of 12 x 1″ DSP
3. Crimp the strip of DSP
4. Cut circle from base cardstock and cover with strong adhesive.
5. Attach one end to the outside of the circle.
6. Folding as you go, work around and around the circle with the piece of crimped DSP.
7. When finished your flower should resemble something like this.
8. Attach either a brad or a button to secure it together & then add it to your project!
Hope that helps! I’m off to write in my card and post it to a friend!!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!!

Mojo Monday..on a Sunday!!

One of my resolutions this year is to get more challenges done. I have loved the Mojo Monday Sketches for ever but never pulled my finger out in time to play. This week i’m scraping in!! LOL

How lovely is this sketch?? Here’s my card:

I love the sentiment “because nice matters”. I’ve got quite a few cards with this sentiment on it to make in the next week or two as i’ve had an amazing amount of support from so many people regarding my Cards for a Cause day. The flower is cased from a couple of different locations. Dawn McVey has posted some on her blog recently and the SU Demo Mag that we get each month had some in it as well. I had to do them!! I just added some “leaves” to mine!
Cardstock: Choc Chip, Very Vanilla, Tangerine Tango DSP
Stamps: Best Yet, Life Definitions, Sanded BG
Other: Double Stitched Grosgrain ribbon, Scallop Oval & Scallop Circle punches, Twine
Ok, I hope to get back on here soon. I’m still hobbling around on the sore foot. I also did something to my back at the grocery shopping yesterday and have been hobbling around with that as well!! I’m in the wars already this year!!!
Until next time,
Happy Stamping!!

Inkspiration Challenge and a Sneak Peek
Good Morning!!
I’m procrastinating again this morning so I’m here instead! This week the Inkspiration Challenge over on Makeesha’s blog is gorgeous! I love circles. I love butterflies. I also needed to get some new butterflies a little inky and have a play with some of the gorgeous new product that’s being launched on December 1. Yep. Time for another Summer Mini!! I’m sorry Keesh, my card is square…but you know I’ve never been a “normal” kinda girl eh?? LOL
Anyway, here’s my card:

Yep, new butterfly stamps. Cute huh?? And I used a *new* butterfly punch to cut them out. Even better. I love it when a new mini satisfies my desire to own more punches!! The Scallops you see behind the pink pirouette circle are Scallop Squares cut into quarters and adhered to the back. I saw it on the internets in the last couple of weeks on a blog and just spent 20 minutes trying to track down the original post but I can’t, so if you do know where it came from I’d love to know so I can give credit to the very talented clever chicky who came up with the idea!!

And a closer look at the ribbon. Noice isn’t it?? NEW!! LOL I love new!
Stamps: Butterfly Prints, Baroque Motifs
Ink: Riding Hood Red, Kiwi Kiss, Pink Pirouette
Cardstock: Riding Hood Red, Pink Pirouette, Bella Rose DSP
Other: Pink Pirouette Grosgrain, Butterfly Punch, Halfback pearls from Pretties Kit, Circle Scissors for the circle, Scallop Square punch
So there is your little sneak peek of some of the Summer Mini goodness that’s about to arrive. I’m going to keep going now. I think I have some more procrastinating to do!!
Happy Stamping!!
